Hey, I am Anna!
If you had a day off, what would be the first thing you would want to do?
I’d take my bike (and a small picknick) and just start cycling – let’s see where I‘ll end up. There are so many beautiful places around Maastricht; I keep stumbling across new forests, rivers, viewpoints. So out there, with my phone on flight mode, I just take in the fresh air, breathe.
Name a problem that you would like to solve.
Through my studies on politics and psychology I got super interested in political polarisation and the rise of populism. These trends are largely fuelled by a lack of mutual understanding, open discussion, and awareness. I will never be able to fully eradicate the negative facets of populism or polarisation, but I would love to help counter them by fostering societal exchange.
Unusual ritual?
The first thing I do every morning after getting up is to meditate for fifteen minutes. That way, I start my days in a calm, open way. And these minutes I completely have for myself.
One thing you want to do before you’re thirty?
Turn 29 😉 No, just kidding. I’ve never really been hiking – like properly hiking. So that’s what I’d love to do (and honestly, the same goes for skiing). For a couple of days, with some friends and a tent, just out there in the mountains.
